Lamborghini Temerario Roars Into Goodwood

Lamborghini Temerario Roars Into Goodwood

Dynamic Debut At Goodwood Festival Of Speed

Lamborghini brought the future of its supercar lineup into full view at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Lamborghini Temerario made its public dynamic debut with a blistering hill climb that captured the attention of onlookers and insiders alike. As the successor to the Huracán, the Temerario marks a bold shift in Lamborghini’s engineering approach, centered around hybrid performance and new powertrain architecture.

New Twin-Turbo V8 Hybrid Power

Beneath the rear glass sits an all-new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, paired with a three-motor hybrid system. Two electric motors power the front wheels, while a third is integrated with the V8’s crankshaft to send power through an all-wheel-drive layout. Together, the system delivers a combined output of 907 horsepower, with 789 horsepower coming from the combustion engine alone.

The engine revs to a wild 10,000 rpm, an uncommon figure even among high-performance hybrids. That screaming redline, paired with immediate electric torque, allows the Temerario to launch from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.7 seconds, with a projected top speed over 213 mph. The power is routed through a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission mounted behind the engine, creating a rear-drive feel despite the all-wheel-drive grip.

GT3 Race Car Version Debuts Alongside

Sharing the spotlight at Goodwood was the track-only Temerario GT3, Lamborghini’s next-generation customer race car. Designed and built entirely by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the GT3 version drops the hybrid system to comply with class rules. It uses a race-prepped version of the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, detuned and reconfigured with smaller turbos and revised intake components to meet GT3 specifications.

The Temerario GT3 will replace the Huracán GT3 in international competition, with its debut set for the 12 Hours of Sebring in March 2026. Lamborghini has made it clear that the new platform is built to be more competitive, more serviceable, and more consistent over long-distance races, reflecting lessons learned from a decade of Huracán GT racing.

Lamborghini Sets Its Sights Ahead

Goodwood marked the first time the public saw the Temerario in motion, and it didn’t disappoint. The car ripped up the hill with a sharp, purposeful tone, a mix of turbocharged growl and hybrid edge that signaled a new sound for Lamborghini’s performance future. Now that the Huracán has been phased out, the Temerario takes over with a powertrain that is cleaner, faster, and far more advanced. The Temerario demonstrates Lamborghini’s commitment to hybridization without compromising performance. It’s being sharpened.
